Decided to go for a spontaneous hike at Macritchie Park with mama last weekend as I was looking for places to hike. What a hidden gem in Singapore! Never knew there was so much greenery lying around waiting for me to explore. It was a 6km hike (to and fro) which took us around 3 hours to complete. would be a bit less of a hassle and it could be completed quicker if there wasn’t a rain (and if we had bothered to check the weather!)
It was actually raining when I woke up at 6am, which gave me all the more reason to give up (other than the fact that I was really sleepy lol). So thanks to mama for pushing on and even though it did drizzle a bit all throughout, it was definitely worth the hike!
What made both of us feel ashamed (and lame) was that most of the people there weren’t hikers, but hardcore runners. and trust me most of them were the age of both of us summed up. and they were running in the rain. while mama and i walked. with our
pink lacy umbrellas.
Much thanks to this dear who didn’t mind waking up early on a Sunday! ❤ loves
The view from Treetop walk. Pretty amazing huh?
View from Jelutong Tower (just a slight detour from the trail) looking down.
Much to my surprise there are even more parks to explore in Singapore! So if you’re looking for a different (and healthy) getaway in Sg, try here.
